3D (frame packing)

3D Blu-ray signals pass through the Vertex² and can trigger projector macros.

What is it?

3D over HDMI uses frame packing (two 1080p images stacked in one frame) or side-by-side/top-bottom formats, signalled in the VSIF infoframe. Only displays that list 3D in their EDID receive it.

Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²

The HDfury Vertex² passes all 3D formats, includes 3D in most custom EDIDs (so a player still offers 3D through an AVR that stripped the flag), and can fire an RS232 macro when 3D content starts — e.g. switch a JVC projector to its 3D picture mode automatically.

How to use it on the Vertex²

Use an EDID with '+ 3D' (Custom 1–7) or Automix with a 3D-capable sink. Web server → MACROS → '3D' content trigger.
