DVI 1.0 compatibility

Older DVI monitors and projectors work with the Vertex² via a simple adapter.

What is it?

DVI is the computer-monitor predecessor of HDMI: same video signalling, no audio, no infoframes, often no HDCP 2.2. Many DVI displays misbehave when they receive HDMI infoframes.

Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²

The HDfury Vertex² can downscale to 1080p, output RGB, switch HDCP to 1.4 and disable the AVI infoframe entirely — the combination that makes a DVI monitor or older projector work with modern 4K HDCP 2.2 sources.

How to use it on the Vertex²

Connect the DVI display via an HDMI–DVI adapter to TX1; web server → SCALER → RGB Full; HDR/DV → 'Disable AVI'; CONFIG → HDCP 1.4.
