Control & connections

Embedded web server

The Vertex² is controlled from a web page hosted on the unit itself — no software to install.

What is it?

Connect the LAN port to your router and the Vertex² serves its own configuration website: type its IP address (shown on the OLED), hostname (VERTEX2-XX) or mDNS name in any browser on Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS or Android. The 'Total Control' apps for iOS/Android wrap the same interface.

Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²

Every advanced feature of the HDfury Vertex² lives here: INFO (signal explorer), EDID, SCALER, HDR/DV, OSD, CEC/RS232, MACROS and CONFIG (firmware update, config export/import, reset). Firmware updates take a minute through the browser.

How to use it on the Vertex²

Manual pages 'Accessing the Web Server' and following. Default: DHCP; a static IP can be set in CONFIG and DHCP re-enabled from the OLED menu if you lock yourself out.
