HDCP & EDID

Automix EDID

The Vertex² builds an EDID automatically from your connected displays plus flags you choose.

What is it?

Instead of picking a fixed table, Automix reads the EDIDs of the displays connected to TX0 and TX1 (and the audio output) and mixes them into one EDID for the inputs, adding or forcing capabilities via flags: video source (TX0/TX1), audio flags (Stereo, 5.1, Full, Audio System), HDR10, HLG, HDR10+, Dolby Vision (sink string or custom string), ALLM and more. Since firmware 0.40 all capabilities present in the sink EDIDs are mixed by default.

Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²

Automix keeps a matrix setup optimal without manual work: if you switch between a projector and a TV, the source always sees the right capabilities. It is also the way to tune LLDV, because only Automix + 'Custom DV string' uses the values from the DV datablock creator.

How to use it on the Vertex²

Web server → EDID → Automix → set video/audio/HDR/DV flags → Send. Optionally 'Save active EDID as Custom EDID 10' to freeze the result. OLED menu → EDID MODE → AUTOMIX.
