RS232 macros (projector picture-mode automation)
The Vertex² sends a projector command when the content type changes — SDR, HDR10, HLG, DV, 3D…
What is it?
A macro is a stored RS232 (or IP) command string tied to a trigger. The Vertex² detects the incoming signal type — SDR BT.709, SDR BT.2020, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision/LLDV, 3D, x.v.Color, and for JVC also Frame Adapt HDR — and fires the matching macro out of its RS232 port to the display.
Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²
Originally built with the JVC projector community: a JVC RS-series or NX/NZ projector switches to the right picture mode, gamma and lens memory automatically when a film changes from SDR to HDR, without touching the remote. Works with any RS232-controllable display or with HDfury's ready-made JVC hex codes.
How to use it on the Vertex²
Web server → MACROS: enable, choose 'send on every sync' and a delay, fill the hex/ASCII command per content type (JVC presets included), then connect the RS232 cable from Vertex² to the projector. Manual page 'Web Server – MACROS Section'.
