Autoswitch (On Power / On Sense)

Automatically selecting the input that just became active — even for Apple TV and Xbox.

What is it?

Autoswitching selects an input when a source turns on. Normal switchers detect the +5 V line — useless for Apple TV 4K, Xbox One X and Shield, which keep +5 V on in standby. The Vertex² offers three modes: Off (manual), On Power (+5 V) and On Sense (TMDS clock / active video detection), with an optional priority input.

Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²

The HDfury Vertex² was the first switch able to autoswitch these 'always-on' sources by looking at the actual video clock. HDfury recommends 'On Power' combined with CEC switching for the most robust behaviour; 'On Sense' is powerful but can upset some sources when they wake up.

How to use it on the Vertex²

OLED menu → AUTOSWITCH / AUTOSWITCH PRIORITY, or web server → CONFIG → Autoswitch mode. Combine with CEC 'routing change turns TV on'.
