OSD (on-screen display) and the OLED
Signal information shown on the display itself (OSD) and on the unit's blue OLED.
What is it?
The 3.12-inch 256×64 blue OLED on the Vertex² shows IP address, firmware, the active input, the incoming signal (resolution, chroma, bit depth, colorimetry, HDR/DV type, HDCP, clock) and what goes to each output, with arrows for upscaled/downscaled/pass-through. The OSD draws the same information — plus custom text — over the picture on TX0/TX1, and can mask a screen area (e.g. a burnt-in channel logo).
Why it matters with the HDfury Vertex²
This 'HDMI Explorer' is why calibrators and installers love the HDfury Vertex²: you see exactly what your source outputs and what your display receives, including frame rate to three decimals, MaxCLL/MaxFALL and every infoframe. No more guessing why HDR did not kick in.
How to use it on the Vertex²
OLED: INFO button cycles pages; fade timer in CONFIG protects against burn-in. Web server → OSD: enable, position, size, RX/TX video and HDR info, custom text, OSD mask coordinates. Manual page 'Web Server – OSD Section'.
